Most of my grids have a solid base, the structure which holds it rigid. In this piece I have used the wall as the rigid structure, and the small grid sections are hardly held together. There are 3 layers, making the form even more indistinct. The optical illusion is a common theme in my work. Looking at this piece is like staring at clouds, which dissolve into vapour as soon as you try to focus on them, or gazing down into water.
